Nene Valley Microlights is run by Bob and Sue McMaster, both of whom have considerable professional aviation experience.
Bob holds a Civil Aviation Authority Flight Instructor's rating and is also an examiner. He has worked in many aviation businesses, and spent five years with British Aerospace as an aircraft designer.
Sue comes from the Ministry of Defence's Royal Aircraft Establishment, where her varied experience include wind tunnel testing a whole range of aircraft.
Dave D'Ath
To assist Bob as Chief Flying Instructor, the school also has another instructor, David D’Ath.
David was first bitten by the flying bug when he started PPL training on Austers in the 1960’s. He has a wealth of flying experience on a whole range of aircraft. Holding a QFI rating, he has a natural ability to not only provide first class flight training, but to make this process fun and enjoyable. David is a very experienced Aviator and is a Qualified Flying Instructor.
FlyCB-Peterborough is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nene Valley Microlights Ltd and operates from Peterborough Business Airport at Conington, just off Junction 16 of the A1.
The Fly CB concept was established in late 2003 in view of the increasing demand for microlight flying brought about by the availability of a new breed of high performance microlight aircraft, the growing regulation of general aviation and the new more flexible National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL).
The aim is to provide access to high quality, professionally maintained microlight aircraft for existing pilots and for beginners looking to enjoy the pleasures of this fun, less regulated form of recreational aviation.
