One of the reasons why microlight flying has become so popular in recent years is that it's much cheaper to train for and maintain a microlight licence than a conventional light aircraft licence.
Pre-Flight Briefings Please note that pre-fight briefings and de-briefings are an essential part of flight training and are given free of charge with every flight training hour taken. Each lesson therefore lasts for approximately 2 hours, but you only pay for the aircraft flight time at the above rate.

Booking Procedure All flight bookings are made by telephoning the Administration and Flight bookings office in Rushden: Tel 01933 311895.
Each flying lesson is booked as a two hour slot to allow for the Pre-Flight Briefing, walk around inspection of the aircraft and the one hour flying lesson. Also you may require a short De-briefing following the flight so that you know how you performed and where you need to focus for the next lesson.
If you need to cancel a booking, please give as much notice as possible and no less than 5 days prior to your lesson.
Please note that cancellation fees are payable if you cancel at short notice or if you don’t arrive in sufficient time for your lesson. You should always aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before your lesson is due to start.
If you are unavoidably prevented from taking your lesson, say due to accident or illness, then cancellation fees may be wavered at our discretion.
Club Membership Fees Once you have progressed beyond your trial flight and your first formal lesson(EX4), you will be expected to join the Sackville Farm Flying Club as a training associate member.
This gives you full use of the Club House, airfield facilities and all home landing fees plus free Tea/Coffee throughout your membership. Yearly membership through NVML is only £85 and can be paid by instalments if required.
